Days away

RWA Nationals is NEXT WEEK! I am so excited, I can hardly wait.

I know it is probably wrong to be SO TERRIBLY excited to get away from the DH and kiddos (and I did go get my hair done today so I had a nice quiet three hours with the Lovely Tomasina) but after the DH was gone most of June, I NEED A BREAK!!!!!!

I also got a new phone, and of course the dern thing isn't working right so I will get another new phone in a couple of days and have to send the first new phone back--JOY!

Gotta go trolling through my closet to figure out exactly how much clothing I can stuff into one suitcase--and I am going for maximum density since I am not flying this year--so the other is free for all the books I will bring home :-)

Dork city

Do you have that one friend who is a dork? You know the one who is constantly goofing around, tends not to be serious . . . ever . . . laughs at everything?

Unfortunately for my friends, that would be me.

Miss Ames had a serious (snort) blog post on her new Naughty and Spice blog and I reduced the situation to "bathroom" humor as my mom would say--but c'mon, you mention gas and I think flatulence--not actual gas from the pumps.

My thinking--as warped as it may seem, is if folks are laughing all is right with the world, so I strive to facilitate that as best as possible. Poor Bailey, Bebo and Susie got the brunt of this Saturday night--Ames, well she's used to it by now!

And on that line of community service I feel I provide, and to keep the dorkiness at an all time high, I cannot stand lulls in conversation. Quiet, is for when you are home alone--not when you're with friends. I may not always present bright or earth shattering quips of whit and knowledge, but I will dern sure make the quiet . . . not so much.

Oh and while it's on my mind--not sure why it is--Ghost Hunters premiered it's new season last night OMG - LOVE IT!!!
