Two O'Clock Doldrums
Doldrums isn't quite right, it's more of a overall let-me-take-a-nap-please . . . .


It hits every single day around two in the afternoon-the regularity of it is as tiresome as the lethargy itself. Sometimes as early as 1:30 and as late as 3:30 bit--but every day nonetheless. It seldom relates to food or activity. However, if I happen to be busy when the time hits, it waylays me the moment I settle in (like now).


I hope this can perk me up!

What are you eating??? Esp for breakfast and morning snacks. THat's about 90% of the reason you're getting hit with that afternoon need for a nap....your diet.

Coffee, a bowl of cereal when I think of it. No snacking, but I eat lunch around 11:15 when Mini-me gets home from school . . .

Yes I would hit you.

A. Eat breakfast EVERY day. Esp if you can squeeze some protein and veggies or fruit.

B. Eat some fruit in the AM. An apple with PB is GREAT. Or some celery with PB or Carrots with some dip.

C. Eat a good healthy lunch. This includes Veggies

D. Eat a good healthy afternoon snack--veggies or fruit.

For heaven's sake at least get your five a day in. I bet you feel better!
