I scoffed when the
weatherpeople announced we have snow for Easter. As if. It was ninety degrees on Tuesday. DH even turned on the A/C he got so hot, and that is unusual for him.
I laughed when they said it would be below freezing Friday going into Saturday.
Puh-
leeze. I got sunburned walking to pick Spare + 1 from school the beginning of the week.
But low and behold, at nine-fifteen this AM the doorbell rings. One of the kids' friends was standing there with his sweatshirt hood drawn tight around his face and little white flakes fell to from the sky. Who'd have thunk it? Not me...
How can we wear our bonnets and pretty floral dresses with a heavy down parka? I could understand if this was Fargo or Fairbanks, but it is Fort Worth, Texas--100 in May is a break from 102 the day before. White
flaky precipitation in April...
But it's still not Easter yet--not til tomorrow. I stand firm with my scoff and titter of laughter. There will be NO SNOW tomorrow.
Right?
Happy Easter
.
Happy Easter, Dennie. Wear a warm coat around that pretty Easter frock.
