Up in the Heir
Well we saw the specialist today - Heir is sporting two red casts and we will go later this week for surgery to have pins placed into the right ankle - man-oh-man.

He's not real happy about that, as would be the case w/ anyone I suppose. The doctor doesn't think he will need surgery on the left but he is going to keep and eye on it incase it shifts. It's actually a differnt bone broken than the right. The right is the ankle itself, the left is the bone beneath that.

Fun stuff in the McD household.

Oh man. Awful. I'll be praying for you guys.

My youngest broke both of his arms within 2 weeks of eachother a couple of years ago. It was a bit funny to watch him as he tried to eat though. He'd end up holding the food above his head and letting it drop into his mouth.

He's getting more comfortable in the chair - he wheeled himslef in the other room last night and I walked past the door - there he was, his legs up in the air and was shifting his butt back and forth - then he was rubbing his nail up and down the casts making different noises - relisiant I tell ya...

Pins! Oh, boy... that means it's a really bad break in the ankle. Awful!

You take care of your back, Dennie, doing all that lifting.

And they will itch and his poor little behind will get sore.
Poor kid. Poor Dennie.
As Sandy said, what a horrible way to spend the summer!
