What a relief...
It is finally raining here in the lone star state - you cannot imagine how scary it is to walk out your front door every other day and smell smoke and not know how close it is or is not to you.





and of course it is friggin' cold too - around 45 degress - I think that is the high for today - but we'll take the rain!!!

Rain, rain, rain, rain - lovely rain ... and even snow is MOISTURE! Thankfully is was a slow and steady rain so that the ground was able to absorb most of it - anything harder/faster would have caused instant flooding. Although they say this is a fire relief and not a drought relief. Can you believe they are already talking about water restrictions - AND that the drought pattern may continue into summer?

Good! I heard Australia is too dry now and burning all over. They need rain now.
