I usually don't do New Years Resolutions but 2005 had as many lows as highs, so let's see if we can change that to a more favorable ratio!
1) Write more - I didn't get my butt in gear until November and that's a tad late in the season for that.
2) Submit more. You can't be rejected if you're not sending it out. Some times you need the rejection to make your work stronger.
(I guess I should mention getting accepted too - though I am not too familiar with this term =) but you can't sell if you don't submit either!)3) Try not to pick up a new habit (knitting, quilting, baking - need I say more) sometimes one too many crafts can drive you batty! (or was that batting - sorry quilt humor or rather an attempt).
4) Learn when to keep my mouth shut - my family will thank me for that =)
5) Pay less attention what people think of me - this one will be hard - Ever heard of Sally Fields - nuff said!
6) Get to lunch with SJ and the Rosebuds more often - need to find time for friends.
7) Play with the kiddos more - they are neat little men who make me laugh.
8) Did I mention write more - I really, really need to work on this one it warrants a second mention!
9) Oh, hmm - I am sure I need to do something else - think, think what could it be - hmm, hmm . . . Oh I have it ~ drum roll please ~ Get to TWW more often. As the former president it's a tad embarrassing that I only made it a handful of time in 2005 - but why does everyone schedule everything for Tuesday evenings?!?! As I have said before, 3 Cub Scouts trump one writing mama.
Last and certainly not least . . . .
10) Lose that unwanted ten pounds I gained - granted I gained it in 1993 and it has matured over the years and what with interest . . .
How about you - what are you going to try to do in 2006?

*The pic has nothing to do with New Years, but the man is hot!
Have a super great New Year ~ Here's to 2006 !!!
as to the personal ones... maybe if I hard Tom Cruise's attitude in Risky Business, I be much more relaxed. "F@#$ it."
