The times...they are a changin'
I am an avid book reader and buyer! I buy reference books to help with my writing skills. I buy romance novels to hone my story lines. Poker books for the hubby and cartoon books for the kiddos, but today I made a purchase on Amazon that all but turned my hair gray!

"It's So Amazing! A Book About Eggs, Sperm, Birth, Babies, and Families"
&
"What's Going on Down There: Answers to Questions Boys Find Hard to Ask"

I realized after the second in line to the throne asked, "Do you take a pill to have a baby?" that something needed to be done. I was further mortified when he tells me that one of the neighbor boys from down the street told him this AND that you have to have s.e.x. to have a baby. Not knowing what else to do...I, with a straight face, denied the pill portion of the lesson and confirmed the s.e.x. part. And with a horrified look the child exclaimed, "You've had sex four time! Oh man, I'm never getting married."

As I asked my friend earlier today, "What ever happened to 'Calgon, take me away.'?"

heheheeeeeee I actually have a sex encyclopedia my aunt gave me as a teen! I gave it to my 11 YO a month ago or so when he came home from school with deoderant. We laughed about having "the talk" but I try to talk about it as casually as possible whenever I can. I figure if I act like talking about sex is no biggie, he'll be more comfortable about it (God Bless LAO:SVU). And after seeing kittens born 2 years ago they both know about birth.
